Have You Tried Pinterest?

It’s free to join Pinterest, an innovative site, started in 2010, where you can create “boards” filled with your favorite photos. You’ll find everything imaginable, recipes boards, wedding boards, travel boards, pet boards, you get the idea. The site is easier than ever to use, and I’m thrilled that now you can move around your photos to create accurate sequencing or add visual appeal on boards.

I’ll admit that Pinterest was the ideal venue for me to post photos surrounding my memoirs. I was able to create a board for both of my books in the French Illusions Series – My Story as an American Au Pair and From Tours to Paris. While I was at it, I created a board on The Loire Valley.

On these Pinterest boards, I’ve placed random photos including photos of my 1979 passport, my copy of Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and a photo of me in Paris 1980.

Hoping to connect with other Pinterest members who might enjoy my memoirs, I’ve started following relevant boards, such as nanny boards and language learning boards. It’s hard to know if this is helping me reach readers, but I figure it can’t hurt.

If you are interested, you can join Pinterest here. Once you join, I hope you’ll check out my Pinterest boards and for more information about my books, please go to my website. You can also purchase eBook, print copies or an audible version of my memoirs at Amazon.com.
