Big News! Over the last few years I have been writing French Illusions, the screenplay. It is finally finished and I am now seeking representation for my completed five-episode coming-of-age limited series. It earned a prestigious “Recommend” from Callaia and scored a 79 from Prescene.
Logline: Inspired by a true story. In 1979, an ambitious young American woman fakes French fluency to land an au pair job and escape her dependent parents, only to navigate an unpredictable world of financial turmoil and deceptive romances that shatter her illusions.
Driven by a tight, coherent plot flow, the story deeply explores themes of youthful deception, rigid cultural class divides, and painful friction of personal growth. Think a more grounded Emily in Paris meets Maid with the poignant emotional growth of Call the Midwife.
